Each year the Annual Parish Retreat at Bishop’s Ranch in Healdsburg is a wonderful experience.
Once again, this year was a combined retreat with St. Aidan’s parish. As always, the weekend was filled with many activities to foster friendships and fellowship plus plenty of time for reflection and prayer. The Friday night barbecue was greeted by a spectacular thunder and lightning show. Even though it rained a bit, everyone enjoyed the food and spending time visiting.
Saturday’s joint program included multiple options to select from including: a music session on the hand bells by Rob, an art project with Mark Lieu, plus several yoga and meditation sessions. After the free time on Saturday afternoon, we collected together Saturday night in the Swing Pavilion for movie night to watch Frozen while eating popsicles and popcorn. Sunday included morning worship in the beautiful Bishop’s Ranch Chapel plus time to relax and enjoy the area before heading home.
The full Parish Retreat spans Friday night to mid-day Sunday, but coming for the day is also an option to join in the special time to build lasting friendships, share in the community and all are welcome to come and be part of the Parish Retreat.
