The "Fulfill the Promise" capital campaign is completed, and by any standard, must be considered a tremendous success. We formally kick-off our campaign back in the winter of 2005. Most gifts were given over a three year period beginning in 2006. We were told by Holliman & Associates, based on their feasibility study, we could expect to raise no more than $435,000. To date, we have received $451,459.37! The committee is recommending that any left over funds and any additional pledges be applied to the existing maintenance fund.
In 2007 the focus of our work was on the Church sanctuary. In 2008 the majority of the work focused on the Parish Hall. This past year we focused on updating our 1940's kitchen. A hood for the stove was ordered in and installed. We moved the refrigerator into the kitchen area, built coffee carts, added some new cabinetry and laid down new flooring.
